My first post!

So, I've shied away from blogging in the past, because it's so trendy.  But after watching my wife blog, I decided it's a good way to get my thoughts out so I can come back and read them later. I've never been much for paper journaling, so this seemed like a good compromise.

I have a lot of time on my hands now, being a stay-at-home dad, so I think it'll be something I can keep up with.  I take that back...I have more time than I've had in the past, but most of my time is devoted to my two sons.  They will always come first in the division of my time.

Without futher ado, this is me:  I'm 32 years old, I'll be 33 this year.  I've been married to my wife, Jessica, for 7 years in June.  We have two sons, Deklan and Gavin, who are 4 1/2 and 1 years old.  We have two cats, Jasmine and Emma, and a dog named Ziggy.  We live in the San Joaquin Valley in central California.  We're Valley people.  Really.  It's kinda' cool coming from Florida where it's so flat, to be able to look east or west of us and see mountains on the horizon.  On the other hand, the air quality really stinks.  

That's about it for my very first, informational, all-about-me post.  Now, on to the fun stuff.
